Physical Therapy Evaluation

Assess mobility and strength early to build a personalized path to safer, stronger movement.

Physical Therapy Evaluation Overview

1. Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of a patient’s physical condition, including strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and posture.

  • Review medical histories, diagnosis, and physician referrals to create a treatment plan.

  • Assess the severity of impairments and set short-term and long-term physical therapy goals.

  • Perform physical tests to evaluate movement, range of motion, and pain levels.

  • Identify physical limitations and develop strategies to improve functional mobility.

2. Developing and Implementing Treatment Plans:

  • Create personalized treatment plans based on the patient’s goals, needs, and medical condition.

  • Design a progressive program of physical therapy exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance.

  • Tailor treatments to specific conditions, such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, or post-surgical recovery.

  • Incorporate modalities like heat, cold, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation to relieve pain and promote healing.

  • Provide education on body mechanics and posture to prevent future injuries.
